Picked up a new ride. Been hunting a 70-73 Camaro. Needed one that wasnt a basket case since I wanted to be able to drive it around. Didnt want a fully restored ride either since I enjoy doing that myself. So here it is, a 70 Camaro with a 355, 4spd, 4.11 gears… not a setup for Interstate trips!

Been hunting for awhile for a 70-73 Camaro. Didnt want a basket case since Im knee deep in restoring my truck but I sure couldnt afford a $15k show car either. This one was perfect, great cruiser, warmed over 350 with a 4 spd and 4.11 gears. Body work was done right by replacing the qtrs. The floors, trunk etc were rust free. Its no show car and sure isnt the best paint job in the world but drives like a champ. I so missed the sound of a 4 barrel opening up and sucking down $3 gas by the gallon!

Picked it up near Richmond. Driving 4.5 hours with this setup was no picnic. I followed my father and told him to not go over 65 mph. 3 chamber flowmasters are awesome for cruising around but 4.5 hours at a high RPM left my head pounding Plans are to just drive it around and have fun for a few years while i wrap up my other projects. No worry about little dings and paint chips . Eventually probably go Z28 clone… heck it has the split bumpers in the trunk already.

Got a few minor things to work on such as the ignition lock, door locks, speedometer but overall she is just ready to cruise in.Going to try this blog method to log details on this car.
